Su started her musical journey when she received her first violin aged 7, and went on to learn the drums, clarinet and piano. She was accepted into the Worcestershire County Youth Orchestra and the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra, playing violin for both and touring Great Britain.

Su graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Children's nursing, before moving to Oxford and marrying her husband Dan. 2004 saw the birth of her son Luke, followed by Amy in 2007. Shortly after this time the family moved to North Yorkshire.

Su is excited at the prospect of combining her love of working with children and her love of music.

She says
